FAQs

What can I expect?

At Resilient, we focus on providing 1-1 attentive care in order to get the most of our 60 minutes together. After scheduling your appointment, you will be emailed a consent to treat and health screening questionnaire; please fill these out ahead of time to expedite the process the day of your evaluation. For your first appointment, please bring comfortable clothes/clothes that allows the affected area to be examined.

Do you take insurance?

Resilient PT is a fee for service based practice and considered an out of network provider. I will not bill your insurance directly, but can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Independent practitioners are transitioning to this model as insurance companies have made it difficult to be able to provide high-level care without the compromise of shortened appointment times, use of aides, or prolonged periods between appointments. My goal is to help you reduce pain and return to function as quickly as possible by providing you with the tools you need to heal.

Do I need a referral for PT?

No. In California, you can see a practitioner for 45 days or 12 visits without a referral. Afterwards, you will need to be seen or examined by a doctor to receive a PT referral for continued care. Wellness or fitness training sessions do not need a referral. This means you can be seen IMMEDIATELY and don’t have to wait when you are experiencing pain.

What is your cancellation policy?

I value you your time so please be respectful of mine. If you need to cancel, please provide notice 24 hours in advance. All no shows or cancellations without notice will incur a $100 fee.
